FROM A GRADUANT TO A GRADUATE- A new beginning and heartfelt thank you.

Hello all,

From many who knows me personally would have known that I have been working for the past 6 months in an advertising firm.  I know I know, for those who are not in SIM, particularly UOL, will be surprised that our convocation happened one year after we graduated. But to be honest I only became a graduate on Friday after going up the stage and received from my cert.

 I didn't really have much thoughts and emotions before I went up the stage, perhaps a little excited. It all happened pretty fast because I reported way beyond the reporting time. Before I can calm myself down, the ceremony started, and the profs and deans started giving their speech, inspiring speeches I believe but I wasn't very attentive. Soon it was my turn to go stage. Well knowing that I am like the first few to go stage made me very happy. When I was a kid I hated my surname to start off with 'C' because I always had to take my oral examinations first. But over the years, I learn to appreciate and enjoy being the first few to take my exams and get over with. Yes the anticipation kills! HAHA! So being the first few to receive my certificate made me pretty happy and accomplished, felt like I did super well to go up first.

I am very grateful that I am born in Singapore with its first class education system. I managed to spend 17 years learning. There have been many ups and downs, high and low but thankfully I have a set of parents who are very supportive and believe firmly in the importance of education. My dad always tell us that all he could do is to pay for school fees and provide us with the best environment he could, and all we need to do is to study hard. I really appreciate what they had done for me. I am probably the most rebellious kid in the family and I am really thankful for their patience and love. Though I may not be the valedictorian of the year but I am sure I have made them proud in my own ways.

Here's a gallery with my lover boy. He is pretty much jealous that I did not dedicate a full square instagram post for him, yet. (I will, but waiting for the correct timing luh!) So here's a dedication for my jealous pie. So two years ago I decided to embark on an adventure and applied for SIM Summer Abroad alone. I didn't know I would have the courage to do so knowing that I am not an independent person. I knew my mum will be worried and wouldn't give me her consent but I still went ahead and apply behind their back. Then I was quite moody and unhappy with the things and people happening. All I wanted to do is to stay away from things that upset me and go out to see the world. I was very lucky to be awarded with a scholarship and was the apparent chance for me to convince my parents. To cut the long story short, I met A on this summer abroad session. And then our love blossom…

During my last academic year I was pretty stressed out because I didn't exactly fare very well for my first two years and I needed at least 3Bs to get a second upper honors. I remembered mugging very hard for my exams and I have quite serious mood swings. It was not easy for me and it was definitely not easy for A to handle my lousy attitude. The way he pampers me, support me, encourage and motivate me is one of the reason why I managed to do well. I hardly have time for him during the exam period because I spent almost all my time in school/library. Dear boy sacrifices his rest time and weekend to accompany me whenever he could and make sure he satisfy whatever cravings I had.
I must be an angel in my previous life to be able to have him as my guardian angel.

Here's another darling in my life, HELLOHUEYMIN! My dear friend that I hold closely. A said that 'I realized you tell Huey Min everything!' Duh, she's my best listening ear and advisor, someone that knows how to be honest to me, know my flaws and strengths. Say things that I want to here to encourage me and also saying things that I don't want to hear but are things that I need to know. Thanks got being there on my graduation day and any other days.

Another dear friend, Fion my childhood friend. We went to the same kindergarten in the same class and we were neighbours since 7 yrs old.

Some photo bombing and candid shots taken. My mum was busy grabbing food from the buffet spread for my friends and I was trying to clear some of my food otherwise poor Alvin and SB had to hold on to them. I think Alvin was holding my barangs and the plate of food for a couple of hours. 

Yes and if you realized, my graduation bear is different from my peers heee. My sis ordered my bear last year and they don't sell white bears anymore. The academic dress for my bear has my name on it:) cute right!!! I received so many bouquets of flowers. Thank you everyone who came, bought gifts and congratulate me:) 

Secretly very happy that even my elder sis left work early to join me that day. And my cute brother (who is already in his 30s) got me a graudation bear without knowing my sis already gotten the grad bear for me. Anyway we refunded the bear. Feeling very blessed, knowing much my siblings dote on me.

My sweetest sister whom I constantly bully(she is elder than me btw) but still love me selflessly.

Thank you to my friends, families and love ones who are always here for me. Encouraging nd telling me I am capable of doing smth great. I am ready to embark on a new life journey. I am not sure what's going to be great in my life but I know it will come someday.
