November 8 + Latte e Miele Artisan Gelato

Almost about a month back, together with my #brunchdategirls, we went out for cafe hunting. We were suppose to go wheelers yard. Unfortunately they have a private event that afternoon and nothing was posted on their website or FB page:( made a wasted trip there. Lucky Alvin sent me there and we picked the girls up and went over to the Thomson area. Initially, we wanted to visit OZ Specialty coffee but came across November 8 when we were alighting. Pretty sure this is a hidden gem and not many know about this cute little place.

We ordered Egg Benedict, Potato Rosti,November Egg and sweet potato for our savoury mains.

The Eggs Benedict has a slightly unique Hollandise sauce which we all like.

A few of us ordered November Egg that came with scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, gourmet York ham (we all didn't really like it), portobello mushroom, tomato & creamy avocardo spread.

Shu wei ordered Potato Rosti, I was excited when she ordered that because I was choosing between this or November egg but I succumbed to smoked salmon.
Freshly made Rosti which was crispy on the outside was served with light scrambled egg, bacon and gourmet pork sausage which was savouring.
The only disappointment was the sweet potato fries, slightly tasteless and soggy.
I think they serve pretty decent coffe, had a sip from Candice cappuccino and I kind of like it.

For desserts, we had Berrlicious waffle with a scoop of icecream. If I am not wrong I think we ordered earl grey flavour. Love waffles that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. November 8 did it the way I like with the right choice of ice-cream!

Plus point 1, was that they have great service, the server constantly fill up our little glasses with ice water:)
Plus 2, they open on Monday, how rarely can I find a cafe on Monday?
Plus 3, prices were NET, GST included!

Latte e Miele Artisan Gelato
The weather on Sunday was so unbearable. After the few rainy days, the sun was back up and the heat was killing really me. It became a need for me to have ice-cream.

After lunch with A's family at Bukit Timah shopping centre, we headed to Turf City to satisfy my cravings.

The pistachio flavour didn't taste as great as the 1st time I had it, the nutty taste was very strong. Blueberry cheesecake was good but I couldn't taste the blueberry halfway, like it tasted very milky and rich and I think because of the pistachio, I got pretty gelat after. I would say they serve pretty good gelato, super rich. Waffles are served warm and was crispy initially but I think it quite thickv fluffy kind.
This place is pretty kid friendly as they have a little playground with small slide. Very popular place on Sunday for families with kids. Constantly I can hear kids screaming and laughing, which can be a little annoying at times but they are so adorable.

What I read and found on the website.
1) Gelato was made daily fresh in small batches.
2) Has lower fat content compared to most other gelatos
3) Higher density because they churned at low speed to incorporate the least air into the mixture

Made me happier eating their gelato knowing is lower in fat content.
