New found fav Kway Chap

Yesterday was an impromptu supper date night with our usual double date couple, Weiru and Jolyon!

Refuse to ask for a selfie because I just had facial with A.

Side track a little, yesterday I brought A along for facial and it was his first time. Turned out that he has quite decent complexion even without any skin care routine.

Anyways, we went to MacPherson to check out this Quan Lai Kway Chal stall and one good thing is that they open till 1230am daily!

I was more than satisfied with the meal. Pretty impressed with the intestines and the braised duck which was very well braised. The soup that came along with the Kway Chap has a nice herbal taste too. We spent a total of $37.50 for four people, but considering the amount of food served on the table I think is pretty worth it.

Looked at the number of articles pasted at the stall!

We ordered Kway chap for four pax and asked the boss to mix and match since we don't really know what to order.

Their braised duck meat was tender without all the fatty skin:) I also love the fact that all the bones were removed for us.Weiru specially asked for the braised duck since she doesn't eat pig intestines.

The best part of the meal was this plate of fried pig intestine that came with ngoh hiang. It was crispy at the side and chewy in the inside which is quite unique. Usually fried intestine are super crispy yet Quan Lai is still able to retain the chewy texture of the intestine. Even weiru who doesn't eat intenstine likes the fried one.

梅菜,preserved vegetable is something that I love to eat especially with pig trotters. I don't really like the one from here as it isn't very flavorful not salty. I think I will skip this when I revisit them again.
