First meet up after our Taiwan trip was for Candice's birthday. With preparations of our dance concerts, all our weekends are packed with rehearsals and we finally made it for a dinner plan.

Anything with cheese is good and with truffle is a bonus.

They were so tender and well marinated, we were all fighting for more of it, just hoping they have more tender meat:)

We wasn't full from what we had and have to order another Truffle fish pie:

Fresh out from the oven with flaky pie crust. Peeling off the top layer reveals a cream of snapper fillet and vegatables. I don't remember tasting much of the truffle but the cream sauce was addictive for me and it went very well with the crispy flakes.

Heard great reviews about the apple crumble with additional scoop of vanilla ice-cream. But we were disappointed by this dish. It was a mixture of berries, cameralized apples with granola.

Churros waffle. We were thinking it was churros with waffle and when we saw a plain waffle with vanilla ice-cream, we wondered where was the churros. Haha this is a cinnamon waffle(churro taste) and it was good. Since we can hardly find any good churros, try replacing it with churros waffle!

Knowing it was our dear friend, cand cand's belated birthday, Roosevelt was very nice to offer a complimentary Flourless chocolate cake. This dense dark chocolate cake was our favourite dessert. I prefer mousse cake to chiffon cake and being Flourless means pure rich chocolate, sinful but awesome!

No idea why the crazy Merlion was so happy hahaha. Glad that she wasn't drinking water otherwise she might just spit out her water again.

Chui Huay Lim Teochew Restaurant | 醉花林品潮轩

Celebrated Ah gong's bday at a TeoChew restaurant with the TeoChew Family. He was super happy that day because it has been long since we last gathered together for dinner. We usually only do that during Birthday parties or annual CNY. We used to gather on Sundays but as we grow older, we are more occupied with our own personal life…

Teochew Cold Crab: Sweet and juicy meat but I could hardly find big chunky meat, I am not very skilled at eating it.

The Appetizer with, my favourite was Wu Xiang:

Teochew Braised Duck: This is yummy, every thin slice of duck is so well braised and tender.
Shark Fin Soup: We can find better shark fin else where.

Can't remember the name of this dish but I love assorted mushrooms with broccoli. Slightly salty with the oyster sauce but still delicious.

This is their signature dish, TeoChew style roasted suckling pig: Crispy pork skin with tender meat roasted to perfection. I enjoy eating fats but not the whole chunk of it so I was appreciative when they helped to remove the overly oily fats.

A very common Hawker fare, Omelette with oyster, crispy egg with fresh oysters but it was so oily.

My new favourite flavour for bday cake, strawberry shortcake!
